Thigh Liposuction

Thigh Liposuction

Not just the inner thigh — we look at the silhouette of the whole leg

Pelvic width, leg axis, where the saddlebags sit and the transition above the knee all have to be considered for a natural line.

Self Check

What Type Are My Thighs?

Thighs that look thick aren't always a case for liposuction.

TYPE 01Fat type — cross-section with thick subcutaneous fat on the inner thighFat typeThe inner thigh pinches softly. Why we look at the inner thigh, saddlebags and above the knee
TYPE 02Saddlebag type — cross-section with volume bulging outward below the pelvisSaddlebag typeThe outer side line sticks out.Why we consider the link with the pelvis and buttocks
TYPE 03Muscle type — cross-section where muscle thickness fills the contourMuscle typeThe thighs feel firm.Liposuction can't reduce muscle thickness
TYPE 04Low-elasticity type — cross-section with thin fat but loose skinLow-elasticity typeThe skin is thin and there is some sagging. When elasticity decides the result

If the cause is muscle thickness, pelvic structure or fluid retention, reducing fat makes only a small difference. We check the fat layer with ultrasound first and then advise you.

Knee

We don't look at areas one at a time. Within the whole leg silhouette, we first identify which part is breaking the line. Even within the same thigh, the inner thigh and saddlebags call for different approaches.

If fat above the knee remains, the thigh may slim down but the leg still looks thicker toward the bottom and the line breaks. So we start by deciding how many zones to treat together.

※ The actual area treated depends on body shape and the fat layer, and is decided together in consultation after measurement.

Difference

What Makes Line Culture Different

  1. Diagram with measuring rings at the upper thigh, mid-thigh and above the kneeMeasurement

    Milli Precision Measurement™

With ultrasound we measure fat layer thickness, muscle and skin elasticity separately — because liposuction can't reduce muscle thickness.

  2. Diagram of the leg turned front, side and backDesign

    From Pelvis to Knee

We look at pelvic width and leg axis first and then set the range. Even thickness and a natural transition create the result — not removing as much as possible.

  3. Diagram marking incision points inside the underwear line and behind the kneeScars

    Wrinkle Scar Technique™

Incisions are placed in inconspicuous spots, inside the underwear line and in the crease behind the knee. For scars, location matters more than number.

※ This describes the measurement procedure and does not guarantee results such as specific reductions.

Recovery

Recovery

Thigh liposuction recovery by stage — swelling · bruising · lumps

Day 0–3
The period when swelling, heaviness, tightness and bruising bother you most
Day 4 – week 1
Major swelling eases and walking becomes easier
1–2 weeks
You may feel residual swelling and lumps, and the swelling may seem to move downward
3–4 weeks
Visible swelling decreases considerably
3–6 months
Thickness and firmness gradually fade and the line settles

※ These periods are a general guide; recovery speed differs from person to person. Detailed precautions and visit schedules are explained at the clinic, and in-clinic care follows our 1-Year Guarantee program.

FAQ

FAQ

My thighs are firm — is it still possible?
Liposuction can't reduce muscle thickness. We first use ultrasound to tell whether the firmness is muscle or fat. How we tell them apart is something we go through together in consultation.
Can I do just the saddlebags?
Saddlebags connect to the pelvis and buttock line, so we consider that connection as well. If the bulge comes from the shape of the pelvic bone, removing fat won't reduce the width, so we identify the cause with ultrasound first. Reducing only the outer side can make the front of the thigh or the area above the knee stand out more.
Will it improve cellulite?
Liposuction reduces the thickness of the fat layer; cellulite is a problem of the connective tissue under the skin. It may look less obvious once the thickness is reduced, but liposuction doesn't remove it. The approach depends on the type.
Will it become lumpy or dented?
The thigh has areas where the fat layer is thin and the skin moves easily, so we are especially careful not to over-suction. The inner thigh and above the knee are such areas. We design around the thickness to leave, not the amount to remove. If you feel firmness during recovery: When it appeared tells us whether it is part of healing or a side effect.
Do you also treat above the knee?
If fat above the knee remains, the leg line can look heavy even after the thigh slims down. We decide while watching the transition so that no edge forms. How far to go is decided in consultation after measurement.
When can I go back to work?
Many people return to work within 1–2 weeks, but it varies a lot. The thigh is used constantly when walking and sitting, so you may feel tightness early on.
How long do I wear the compression garment?
The thigh usually needs a longer period than other areas. It covers a large area and keeps working as you walk, so swelling lasts longer. The timing depends on the treated range and how fast the swelling goes down, so we tell you when to stop after checking your condition at a visit.
