Self Check

What Type Is My Face?

Sometimes the reason a face looks large isn't fat at all.

TYPE 01Fat type — cross-section with thick fat under the chin and in the cheeks Fat typeYou can clearly pinch the thickness.Before-and-after changes, and when the jawline changes
TYPE 02Sagging type — cross-section with thin fat but skin drooping below the jawline Sagging typeNo thickness, yet the jawline is blurred. Why the face looks saggy after weight loss
TYPE 03Puffiness type — cross-section with fluid retention across the lower face and neck Puffiness typeYour face looks different in the morning and evening. The real reason facial fat won't go away
TYPE 04Muscle & bone type — cross-section where the jawbone and chewing muscles shape the contour Muscle & bone typeThe jaw muscles feel firm.Telling the fat type from the muscle type

Causes other than fat, such as posture (forward head) or the salivary glands, are assessed separately in consultation. Whatever the type, we first sort out where to remove and where to keep.

Midface

Lower face

Under the chin

We look at the face in three zones. Some patients treat one zone, others the whole face; how far to go is decided in consultation, based on the measurements.

The deep fat inside the cheeks (deep buccal fat) is assessed too, but deciding what to keep and what to remove comes first.

※ The actual area treated depends on face shape and the fat layer, and is decided together in consultation after measurement.

Difference

What Makes Line Culture Different

  1. Diagram with measuring bands at the cheek, jawline and under the chin Measurement

    Milli Precision Measurement™

We measure fat and skin thickness to the millimeter with ultrasound and decide before surgery where to remove more and where less.

  2. Diagram of the face turned left, front and right Anesthesia

    Sedation + Local Anesthesia

After 5 minutes of sedation we add local anesthesia and proceed while you are lightly sedated, so we can turn your face to match both sides.

  3. Diagram marking entry points under the chin, in the earlobe crease and inside the hairline Scars

    Wrinkle Scar Technique™

Entry points of about 2 mm are placed in inconspicuous spots — in the shadow under the chin, in the earlobe crease, inside the hairline.

※ This describes the measurement procedure and does not guarantee results such as specific reductions.

※ These periods are a general guide; recovery speed differs from person to person. Detailed precautions and visit schedules are explained at the clinic, and in-clinic care follows our 1-Year Guarantee program.

FAQ

FAQ

Won't my skin sag after face liposuction?
If only fat is reduced when elasticity is weak, the remaining skin can become more noticeable. So we assess fat thickness and skin condition together, and if elasticity is the key issue, we may recommend lifting.
How do I know if my face is suitable for liposuction?
When the cause is not fat — jawbone width, chewing muscles, puffiness or the salivary glands — reducing fat makes only a small difference. We decide after checking the thickness of the fat layer with ultrasound.
How is it different from contouring or fat-dissolving injections?
Injections shrink fat cells, while liposuction reduces their number. If the fat layer is thin, there are cases where injections are enough, so we measure the thickness before advising you.
What happens on the day of surgery?
You meet the lead director again and the design is drawn while you are seated; after 5 minutes of sedation, local anesthesia is added and the procedure is done while you are lightly sedated. After the incisions are closed, you rest in a private recovery room until we have checked your condition, then go home. Stitches are removed after 3–5 days.
When does the swelling stop showing?
It is strongest in the first few days, then drops noticeably once that period passes. Because it varies a lot between people, we don't promise a date — we plan the surgery around the schedule you need to keep.
Where are the scars?
They are placed in inconspicuous spots — in the earlobe crease, behind the ear, along the curve of the jawbone, inside the hairline. How visible they are depends on your skin type and aftercare.
If I gain weight, will my face get bigger again?
Fat cells that were removed don't grow back, but the remaining cells can enlarge. Your face tends to gain less than before surgery, and the pattern of gain is different.
