Belly Liposuction

Abdomen Liposuction

Not just the lower belly — we look at the whole waistline

The abdomen is one connected area, so reducing only one spot can make the fat around it stand out more.

Self Check

What Type Is My Belly?

A belly that sticks out isn't always the same kind of fat.

TYPE 01Subcutaneous type — diagram of a thick subcutaneous fat layer over the abdominal musclesSubcutaneous typeSoft and easy to pinch.Subcutaneous vs. visceral fat
TYPE 02Visceral type — diagram of a thin subcutaneous layer with the abdominal muscles showing throughVisceral typeThe belly protrudes and feels firm.Visceral fat is not a target of liposuction
TYPE 03Mixed type — side-view diagram of the skin, subcutaneous fat and muscle layersMixed typePartly pinchable, partly firm. Why the lower belly and flanks are assessed together

If visceral fat makes up a large share, liposuction alone can't deliver a flat stomach. With ultrasound and a pinch test, we first check which kind of fat it is.

Waist

The abdomen is one connected area. Reducing only one spot can make the surrounding fat stand out more, so we look at the upper belly, lower belly, flanks, love handles and lower back as one continuous line.

The visceral fat around the organs is not a target of liposuction. We work on the subcutaneous fat you can pinch just under the skin.

※ The actual area treated depends on body shape and the fat layer, and is decided together in consultation after measurement.

Difference

What Makes Line Culture Different

  1. Diagram with measuring rings at the upper belly, waist and lower bellyMeasurement

    Milli Precision Measurement™

We check fat thickness and skin condition first with ultrasound, photo analysis and a pinch test. We never set the volume by feel.

  2. Diagram of the torso turned front, side and backDesign

    360° Connected Line

Rather than treating one area in isolation, we follow the line from the front around the side to the lower back. Where you leave fat shapes the waistline more than how much you remove.

  3. Diagram with small marks inside the underwear lineScars

    Wrinkle Scar Technique™

Incisions are kept small and placed where underwear and trousers cover them. For scars, location matters more than number.

※ This describes the measurement procedure and does not guarantee results such as specific reductions.

Recovery

Recovery

Abdomen liposuction recovery by stage — swelling · bruising · lumps

Day 0–3
The period when swelling, heaviness, tightness and bruising bother you most
Day 4 – week 1
Major swelling eases and moving becomes easier
1–2 weeks
You may feel residual swelling, lumps and firmness
3–4 weeks
Visible swelling decreases considerably
3–6 months
Lumps soften and the waistline settles

※ These periods are a general guide; recovery speed differs from person to person. Detailed precautions and visit schedules are explained at the clinic, and in-clinic care follows our 1-Year Guarantee program.

FAQ

FAQ

Does it remove visceral fat too?
Visceral fat is not something liposuction removes. Liposuction reduces the subcutaneous fat you can pinch just under the skin; visceral fat sits deep around the organs. Telling the two types of fat apart comes first, then we advise you.
Can I do just the lower belly?
Treating only a small area isn't always the better choice. If only the lower belly is done, the flanks and love handles remain, and the waistline change can feel small. How far to extend the area is decided in consultation, based on the measurements.
Is it possible after childbirth?
After childbirth we assess not only the fat layer but also skin elasticity and the abdominal (rectus) muscles. When you can have it depends on your recovery and whether you are breastfeeding.
Is it possible if I'm slim?
You need enough pinchable subcutaneous fat for the line to change. If the fat layer is thin, there are cases where there isn't enough fat to remove, so we measure the thickness before advising you.
When can I go back to work?
Many people return to work within 1–2 weeks, but it varies a lot. The abdomen works every time you sit or stand, so it can feel quite stiff. We plan the surgery around the schedule you need to keep.
How long do I wear the compression garment?
Usually 1–3 weeks. It depends on how quickly the swelling goes down and how large the treated area is, so we tell you when to stop after checking your condition at a visit.
Will it become lumpy?
Firmness felt during recovery is often fibrous tissue known as bio-bond. When it appeared is what separates a side effect from normal recovery, so we judge it as recovery progresses.
